Thus I even have to say a little bit more :)
Let’s just start with Natasha’s boyfriend who came all the way from Kiev to visit her and Rotterdam for 2 weeks. Well, of course you might think that Kiev is not that far away and that it’s just a 2 hour flight. You are right but Dima (Natasha’s boyfriend) preferred to take the bus since it is way more cheaper. Therefore it took him incredible 40 hours to get here and remember he had to go back again, too.
We had a nice time- we cooked together and went out [see pic with me and the strange guy ;)] Especially the dinners were really nice since I brought Natasha and Dima closer to the European cooking culture. Imagine me.....However my cooking ability was good enough to surprise those two with home made lasagna which Natasha and Dima never ate before. They told me that they usually make spaghetti on their own since you hardly get spaghetti in the Ukraine and particularly no lasagna plates :) On the other side Natasha and Dima introduced me to the Ukrainian drinking culture. Every time you start drinking a new glass you need to toast on something or somebody but the toasts need to be in the right order. Starting with a toast about the purpose of the dinner, going over to the 2.toast which goes to the parents or friends, the third toast is about love and women and the fourth toast is for a secret and so on.
Very nice tradition!!! :D
Unfortunately I had to leave my Ukrainian friends since I decided to go to Germany at the beginning of November.
Nonetheless before leaving the Activity Committee of AEGEE Rotterdam (including me) organized a Halloween party. Have a look at the two pics with me and Natasha.
Just a little hint if you do not have enough fantasy to interpret my costume....I was a frog-eating fly :)
Two hours after I was done with my last exam I left the country and paced to Koblenz.
Bye the way who did not know yet I call myself a genius from now on since I actually passed all exams which I would have never ever expected :)
While visiting family in Koblenz I also went to Bonn to the Guggenheim exhibition. Everybody who is kind of interested in art or has a sense of Cultural need has to go there. You are going to see a very nice collection of amazing paintings from the best artists ever like Picasso, Kirchner, and Monet and so on :)
Since I already went to Koblenz I also decided to visit my good old friend Inga haha in Marburg. For every one who does not know, Marburg is almost in the middle of Germany and has a lot of cute little houses and not to forget the one and only Ingabert :)
I had a very nice time in Germany but you know everything is over on day and therefore I went back to the good new Holland.
And to be honest I am actually happy to be here again and I am looking forward to my Spanish lessons :)....
